IS SCM JUST A FELLOWSHIP?

SCM is more than a fellowship. It is a movement that imprints mission into your DNA!

Over the years, the Student Christian Movement (SCM) has raised several church ministers, but beyond the pulpit, it has also nurtured mission-driven pastors and ministers who are passionate about taking the Gospel beyond the four walls of the church.

Consider the Nigeria Evangelical Missions Association (NEMA), the body for mission agencies in Nigeria. The National Chair is an SCMer, and the Chairs in Abuja and Lagos are also SCMers. This is a powerful reminder of SCM’s influence in advancing Christian mission.

We must also remember Dr Akanu Ibiam, one of SCM’s founding figures, whose passion for Christian witness and mission remains part of our heritage.

SCM does not just prepare you for church; it prepares you for mission!

You may leave the campus, but the mission should never leave you. Whether in ministry, community development, advocacy, or everyday life, every SCMer is called to make a difference.

I stand to say: EVERY SCMER IS A MISSIONARY!

So, is SCM just a fellowship? What has SCM deposited in you, and how are you keeping the Faith?
